This fall wedding in Niagara was such a special one for our team. The very beautiful/adorable/perfect bride you see is Jenessa, our associate shooter. I hoped for a very long time that when the time came, Jenessa + Dan would ask us to shoot their wedding. I knew that the location and decor would be on point. Most importantly, the day would be focused on the people + emotions that matter. It all made for a perfect day.
These two were intentional in selecting the locations for each part of the day. The huge windows in the Airbnb Jenessa got ready in meant there was incredible natural light, which is the secret sauce for making any space beautiful. A total history nerd (yep, I said it!), Dan was drawn to the exterior of the church, so we made sure to capture that as the groomsmen walked in.
The portrait session during the wedding felt reminiscent of their engagement session. We walked around the woods on a drizzly day, passing through muddy leaves and climbing mossy rocks. Balls Falls (feel free to laugh at that name) is an amazing location with so much variety. It was my first time shooting there but I would love to go back and experience all it has to offer.
Dan + Jenessa did an amazing job supporting local vendors and friends for their wedding. A personal favourite is the handmade guest book made by the lovely Sarah Reimer Designs. Check out her work if you are looking for unique and beautiful photo gifts + prints!
